A Star is Born (2018) Movie Review

A Star is Born was released on October 5, 2018 and directed by Bradley Cooper. This was somewhat of a romance movie, however there was also a lot of drama and emotion involved. It set around two singers who meet and fall in love, however drugs and alcohol come in the way of that. This movie was filled with a lot of tension along with a lot of very happy and enjoyable moments. Bradley Cooper perfectly balanced the two to allow the story to flow smoothly and stay interesting throughout.

This movie definitely had a great cast the led the way. Bradley Cooper played Jackson Maine, which was a role that he played phenomenally. His character had major drug and alcohol problems along with depression and you could see his path getting worse throughout the movie. Bradley Cooper showed all of the emotion needed, while also delivering great songs in the process. Lady Gaga played Ally who was the girl that Jackson met. She also delivered a great performance with her singing and acting. The characters were very easy to connect to and that helped this story a lot.

This film had a story that we have seen before, but it definitely felt new. It felt revamped and told in such a great way that it seemed very fresh. The songs were very good and I really enjoyed this movie. You know the movie was very good when you see others crying in the theater because it impacted them so much. If a movie causes someone to cry that means it has delivered it’s emotional impact that it was supposed to. A Star is Born was a movie that I would recommend to anyone. I believe that any adult could enjoy this movie and be satisfied after watching it. I give this movie a 9 out of 10 on the scale of awesomeness because it was almost a perfect movie that can keep anyone entertained for 2 hours.
