A new trailer for Venom: Let There Be Carnage was just released this morning. Watch it and find out my thoughts here!

Venom: Let There Be Carnage (directed by Andy Serkis) is the follow-up to 2018’s Venom. This time, Eddie Brock is up against a new challenge in Cletus Kasady as Carnage, who is played by Woody Harrelson. The film’s release date is currently listed as September 24, 2021, but that is subject to change.

Notable Cast:

Tom Hardy–Venom

Woody Harrelson–Cletus Kasady

Michelle Williams–Anne Weying

Naomie Harris–Shriek

My Thoughts:

Eddie Brock and Venom are back in action again and it seems even better than the first time around! Right off the bat, I love that they are continuing the hilarious banter between Eddie and Venom. That was by far the highlight of the first film, so I hope that they will make even more jokes out of it this time.

I am also very curious to see Woody Harrelson’s performance in Venom: Let There Be Carnage and how him and Tom Hardy will interact on screen.

Just based on these two-and-a-half minutes alone, I believe the CGI looks even better than the first film. One specific moment from the trailer in particular was when Cletus Kasady transformed into Carnage. That morph into Carnage looked phenomenal and I cannot wait to see more of it on the big screen.

My final note is that this trailer is ACTION PACKED. If the movie actually contains this much action then it is going to be one wild ride.

This trailer definitely got me even more HYPED than I was before. One disappointing point is that at the end it only said “Exclusively in movie theaters this Fall”. It no longer stated the September 24 release date that was previously announced, which could hint that a delay is potentially on the way.

Whenever Venom: Let There Be Carnage is released, you can count on me being there day one. Are you excited for this movie? Let me know in the comments! And as always…
