Blu-ray Bonanza: Sweet Slip Edition–Logan

It’s the sweet slip edition of Blu-ray Bonanza this week and I’m taking a look at Logan!

Logan was released in U.S. cinemas on March 3, 2017 and the Blu-ray/DVD combo was later released on May 23. Logan is atypical when compared to other movies of the same genre, with its grizzly R-rating and darker themes throughout.

On Blu-ray Bonanza, I look at my favorite pieces of physical media that I own. I don’t just select Blu-rays at random, but rather highlight releases with exceptional artwork and design. Featured this time on Blu-ray Bonanza is Logan.

I only own the standard Blu-ray version of this product, but the 4k Blu-ray is actually available for a pretty good price on Amazon, at just $15.70!

Front/Back:

The reason that I selected Logan for this week was because of just how beautiful the slipcover is. I own an abundance of Blu-rays, and none of them have the same amount of shine as this one. The overall design of the slipcover is extremely simple, yet it is so clearly effective.

From this cover, you can garner the baggage and bitterness that Logan is carrying as he embarks on this new journey. This is definitely one of the best slipcovers that I own and I wish they would make more like it.

Discs:

Each of the discs in this Blu-ray feature their own artwork as well. It isn’t very common to see this on a typical Blu-ray release, so that is just another plus! As you can see on the disc on the right, this package even includes a black and white version of the film, Logan Noir.

Rating:

5 out of 5 on the scale of awesomeness.

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Thank you so much for reading this week’s edition of Blu-ray Bonanza, which featured the Blu-ray package of Logan. Come back next time for another piece of physical media that showcases some awesome artwork and feel free to mention any titles that you believe deserve a spot on this catalogue as well. And as always…
